About the Donation and Family Advocate role:
Donor Network of Arizona’s Tempe office is seeking an emotionally strong, mature, genuine, compassionate and mission driven individual to work with families at the time of their loved one’s death regarding end-of-life decisions for organ and tissue donation. This Donation and Family Advocate must be able to walk into extremely challenging and uncomfortable situations and be motivated to confidently explore donation with families at their most devastating time of loss.

This work consists of helping families make their best decision about donation, based on their values and beliefs, in their worst moment of losing a loved one. If an individual has already registered his or her decision to be a donor, the Donation and Family Advocate then helps the family to honor and support that decision to save lives and heal others.
Requirements:
Must be fluent in English and Spanish
Bachelor's degree
Experience in working with different cultures and diverse populations is necessary.
Three or more years of experience in counseling, crisis intervention, ministry, social work, death and dying education. This is a full-time on-call position with 24-hour shifts.
This position requires reliable transportation for occasional work throughout the state.
