Position Description:

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of care for those patients/clients requiring social work intervention. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides counseling and crisis intervention to patients/clients who have social or emotional problems in a variety of settings across the age span.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Social Work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education required
Active license as an LCSW in state of practice required
Minimum of one year of social work experience preferred
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Specialty: Addictions Treatment

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST (With flexibility)

Hours Per Week: 40 hour work week

Eligible Licenses/Certifications:

Counselors must be credentialed as any of the following under the Department of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA):

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC)
Psychologist
Physician
Advanced Practice Nurse or a Certified Nursing Specialist (APRN)

An individual credentialed in addictions counseling by a nationally recognized credentialing body approved by the division as indicated below:

Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC)
Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Consultant II (CADAC II)
Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Consultant III (CADAC III)
Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Consultant IV (CADAC IV)
Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Consultant V (CADAC V)
Addiction Professional in Training (APIT)
Certified Addiction Counselor Level I (ICACI)
Certified Addiction Counselor Level II (ICACII)\
National Certified Addiction Counselor, Level I (NCAC I)
National Certified Addiction Counselor, Level II (NCAC II)
Master Addiction Counselor (MAC)
Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
