Missouri is looking for a locum Psychiatrist.
We are an inpatient hospital (20 patients unit, 16 patients in a less restrictive, cottage setting).
The psychiatrist will work with a Nurse Practioner who helps with the case load. The admit and discharge rate is low.
Typically 1-3 patients per month but then again some months there are no admissions.
The expectation is a weekly note for the first 8 weeks after admission then a monthly note there after.
Various duties including helping with guardianship if and when indicated. I
The candidate work with a team and cross coverage with other units at times may be indicated.
Patients have been adjudicated PIST and a few NGRIs.
Experience working in an inpatient forensic setting is helpful.
