The Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) has a vacancy for a long-term substitute school counselor within the Division of Career, Technical and Customized Education at the Technical College High School- Pennock's Bridge. This temporary assignment is anticipated to start September 28, 2025 and end January 2, 2026. An extension may be possible, but is not guaranteed.

Qualifications:

A valid PA Certification in School Counseling PK-12 is required
Masters in School Counseling required
Minimum 5 years School Counselor experience preferred
Experience and knowledge in public or non-public education preferred
Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required

Duties & Responsibilities:

Counsel groups or individual students through the development of educational and career plans.
Collaborate with teachers, staff and parents regarding meeting the developmental needs of students and seek community resources when necessary.
Conduct counseling activities in the classroom in conjunction with administration and teachers.
Participate in Instructional Support Team (IST).
Respond to crisis situations when appropriate.

Salary and Schedule 2025-26 School Year:

$65,394 to $100,586- Master's Degree
$68,403 to $104,546- Master's +15
$69,938 to $106,442 - Masters + 30

*placement is based on related counselor experience and will be pro-rated based on length of the assignment
