Job Description:ResponsibilitiesHarbor Point Behavioral Health Center offers intensive residential treatment services within a secure setting. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of youth ages 11- 17 who are experiencing emotional, psychiatric and educational difficulties. In addition to our general psychiatric programs, we also offer specialty programs for youth with more serious challenges. Harbor Point and its programs are fully accredited by The Joint Commission and the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Educational Facilities. We are licensed by The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and the Virginia Department of Education. We are a TRICARE®-approved and certified facility.Our physicians work in a supportive and collegial environment, collaborating with other physicians, clinical staff, and administration, providing ample opportunities for professional and personal growth. The caseload and call responsibilities are manageable, making this a fulfilling full-time position available for either contract work or competitive salary and benefits.Compensation Package Includes:

- Employee stock purchase planWe also offer an Independent contractor model if desired.Essential Functions:1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and the milieu.2. Actively participate in all treatment team meetings.3. Attend and participate in department and other program or clinical administrative meetings.4. Diagnose, prescribe medication, monitor medication side effects and participate in the treatment process of residents.5. Consult on admissions decisions as necessary.6. Participate in treatment team, unit review and Medical Executive meetings
QualificationsEducation:Minimum - M.D. or D.O. Degree and must have completed ACGME accredited psychiatry residency and two years of child psychiatry fellowship training. Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist.Licensure/Certification:Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist. Must have a current Physician License from the State of Virginia. CPR and Handle with CarePhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 80-90% of the time the incumbent is standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching while working with patients.
