About Job

Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) / Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - $80k-$90k annual salary!! Our client is an organization committed to providing inclusive, trauma-informed, and affirming care. They serve a diverse community and specialize in working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and chronic health conditions such as HIV/AIDS.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced LMHC or LCSW to join their multidisciplinary behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of clinical experience, with a strong understanding of co-occurring substance use disorders and a commitment to providing equitable, culturally competent care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to clients managing a range of mental health concerns

Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor client progress

Utilize trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches in treatment

Collaborate with internal and external providers, including primary care, case management, and substance use services

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements

Participate in clinical team meetings, trainings, and supervision

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field

Current and valid licensure in New York as an LMHC or LCSW

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the behavioral health field

Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles

Ability to work with diverse populations in a culturally responsive manner

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders

Experience serving LGBTQ+ individuals and/or people living with HIV/AIDS

Bilingual abilities are a plus (please specify language if applicable)
