Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting clients through individual and group counseling sessions, while also assisting in supporting clients through their recovery process and diagnostic evaluations. This position is essential for fostering a positive therapeutic environment and promoting the well-being of our clients across various demographics.

Duties

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address client needs.
• Assist in the diagnostic evaluation process, providing insights into client needs.
• Collaborate with other professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss client cases and share best practices.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with counseling techniques and methodologies.

Experience

• Experience in outpatient settings is preferred, with a focus on individual and group counseling.
• Familiarity with Drug and Alcohol therapy modalities is a plus.
• Previous experience working with diverse populations is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of clinical documentation is beneficial but not required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year
