Job Description

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Genetic Counselor to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary

Provides genetic counseling for patients under the supervision of a physician or in consult with a physician. Provides high quality care in accordance with the National Society of Genetic Counselors and Code of Ethics.

Required Qualifications

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Graduate from an accredited master’s level genetic counseling program.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification

  • Board-certified/eligible by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG)
  • Licensed/eligible for licensure as a Genetic Counselor by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice (MBMP)
  • Board certification and licensure is required within 18 months of employment.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, and electronic medical record.

Preferred Qualifications

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Two or more years of supervised experience preferred.
