About Job
The licensed psychologist or Resident in Psychology will provide psychological testing, assessments, and psychotherapy (including individual, couples, family, and group therapy). The ideal candidate will also be (or willing to become) PSYPACT certified. This position offers a mix of in-person and telehealth opportunities, providing flexibility for both the clinician and the client.
Key Responsibilities:
● Conduct psychological assessments and testing, including diagnostics and treatment planning.
● Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy when appropriate and as needed.
● Work closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care
● Ensure that treatment is customized to each client's unique needs using best practices and a person-centered approach.
● Maintain accurate and timely documentation and adhere to professional guidelines.
● Participate in team meetings, supervision, and continuing education to enhance clinical skills.
● Provide LGBTQIA+ affirming care, ensuring an inclusive, respectful, andsafe environment for clients of all identities.
Qualifications:
● Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D., Psy.D., or equivalent).
● Licensed as a psychologist in the state of Virginia (LCP, or equivalent).
● Active PSYPACT certification (or willingness to obtain).
● Proven experience with psychological testing and assessment.
● Proficiency with evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as: EMDR, IFS, DBT
● Experience with couples therapy is preferred.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
● Ability to manage a flexible caseload, offering both in-person and telehealth services.
● A commitment to evidence-based, client-centered care, LGBTQIA+ competence, and continuous professional development.
