About Job

Diakon Family Life Services offers a range of counseling and behavioral health services to children, teens, families and adult individuals. Services are provided through counseling centers in Mechanicsburg, New Bloomfield, Lewisburg, Montoursville and Williamsport as well as within several public-school buildings. Specialized programs include family-based mental health services, provided in the community and in-home, addictions counseling, trauma-focused therapy and SPIN, a service designed to assist children and youths who have problematic sexual behaviors.
General Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains a professional and supportive relationship with youth and their families by providing therapeutic interventions.
  • Provides individual, couple, family and/or group therapy sessions.
  • Completes monthly treatment plan updates and required paperwork and
  • Provides crisis management services as needed.
  • Childline & DHS FBI clearance results are required prior to beginning employment.
Education/Training: Masters Degree in human services (psychology, social work, mental health counseling or related field) is required.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' of experience in related positions normally required.
ADA: Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills
