Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide mental health counseling to clients in an outpatient setting, utilizing various therapeutic techniques and approaches. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care. The counselor will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining accurate medical documentation.

Duties

Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, focusing on children
Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with ICD-10 standards and organizational policies.
Collect data on client progress and outcomes to inform treatment adjustments and improve service delivery.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the hospital or outpatient setting to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Stay informed about best practices in mental health counseling and participate in ongoing professional development.

Requirements

Must hold a valid license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of practice.
Proficient in medical documentation practices and familiar with ICD-10 coding.
Previous experience working in the field with families
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
Ability to do pre-authorizations and respond to insurance denials.
