Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in supporting the development of essential skills and promoting positive behavior changes in our clients.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Conduct one-on-one sessions with children, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to foster independence.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collect data on client progress and report findings to the supervising BCBA.
- Collaborate with families to provide support and guidance regarding behavior strategies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experience:
- Background in special education or behavioral therapy is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Experience working with children, especially those with behavioral challenges.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
- Previous experience in patient care is a plus.
