MZMA Mental Health Counseling is looking for a fee-for-service counselor (MHC-LP) who would like to work independently while growing their clinical skills. We are a Brooklyn-based, group private practice that encompasses a collaborative approach to our work environment. Hours and caseload are flexible, individual and group supervision is offered for MHC-LP's.

Responsibilities:

Meet with clients to formulate a biopsychosocial assessment with diagnosis and determine eligibility for admission.
Provide individual, some family and couples therapy to children, adults, and families.
Create and implement treatment plans and quarterly reviews on every client.
Complete progress notes and all chart documentation within specified time frames.
Maintain appropriate case record documentation.
Collaborate with HIPAA compliant psychiatrists/providers, family, school staff, and community providers to coordinate care and advocate for clients' needs.
Plan for discharge and/or aftercare.
Make referrals to agencies and community resources, as needed.
Consult with professional and technical personnel in implementing a multi- disciplinary approach to patient/client care.
Attend training, staff conferences and staff meetings as needed.
Attend clinical supervision meetings.
Ability and willingness to be self-reflective and engaged in the supervisory and learning process.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
