Therapists assist The On Earth Counseling Project in reaching its mission and vision by providing high-quality therapy services to clients. Providing empathic therapy that includes thoughtful insights and researched information and best practices are vital components to the work that we do with clients. Therapy services at The On Earth Counseling Project are available to adults and children through individual, groups, couples, and family counseling services.
Mental Health Services include:
- Assessment: designed to determine the mental health needs of the individual and/or family and to recommend a course of action.
- Individual therapy: designed to aid in the healing process and to help identify mental health and emotional concerns/needs. The process is intended to assist clients in applying gained knowledge and insight to their journey toward their goals. Therapy is designed to be an age appropriate healing process that allows the client to express him/herself in a safe and supportive environment.
- Couples Therapy: designed to assist couples in improving their relationships. Therapy may include sessions designed to improve problem solving, communication skill building, and identification of life goals and relationship responsibilities. Other common issues include infidelity, financial problems, illness, and anger. Family therapy: explores the dynamics of the family system and supports healthy interpersonal communication and interactions. It helps the family re-structure themselves when necessary.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Although therapists work at The On Earth Counseling Project on a contractual basis, it is expected that therapists uphold responsibilities, and operate with high levels of professionalism and integrity. The On Earth Counseling Project has standard organizational policies (sexual harassment, discrimination, etc.) to protect individuals and maintain an overall professional environment. Contracted therapists are required to abide by such policies. Therapists must also abide by the ethical standards outlined for counselors by the State of Michigan.
- Will maintain current professional licensing and associated required continuing education hours.
- Will provide agreed upon mental health services on-site at The On Earth Counseling Project unless otherwise agreed upon by the Director.
- Set a minimum of 15 hours of availability over the course of at least 2 days
- Will follow Michigan law regarding confidentiality.
- Will maintain professional liability insurance and provide The On Earth Counseling Project with a current copy of the face sheet annually and when modifications occur.
- Will not solicit The On Earth Counseling Project clients outside of this agreement.

Pay: $3,000.00 - $8,000.00 per month
