Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Spiritual Counselor to provide guidance and support to individuals navigating life's challenges. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of various spiritual practices. This role involves helping clients find meaning, healing, and direction in their lives through counseling sessions, educational workshops, and community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to assist clients in exploring their spiritual beliefs and resolving personal conflicts.
• Provide bereavement support to individuals coping with loss, offering empathy and understanding during difficult times.
• Educate clients on spiritual practices and principles that promote personal growth and well-being.
• Facilitate workshops and group discussions to foster community engagement and spiritual development.
• Utilize effective crisis management techniques to support clients during critical moments.
• Mentor individuals seeking guidance in their spiritual journeys, helping them develop leadership skills within their communities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout the counseling process.
• Write reflective materials or resources that enhance client understanding of spiritual concepts.
• Engage in public speaking opportunities to promote the organization's mission and educate the community on spiritual wellness.

Experience and Qualification

• Proven experience in conflict management, crisis intervention, and providing bereavement support is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and compassionately.
• Experience in mentoring or leadership roles within a spiritual or community context is highly desirable.
• Background in public speaking or facilitating workshops is a plus.
• A degree or certification in counseling, psychology, theology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
