Position Overview: We are seeking a Clinical Associate to provide outpatient individual and couples therapy to clients of Safe Space Counseling. Clinical therapy services include treatment of adolescents, adult individuals, and couples. We are currently looking for couples and individual psychotherapists who are comfortable learning about and talking about sex therapy with clients who are anti-racist, LGBTQ+ affirmative, social justice-minded, and ready to be a part of a dynamic, fun, and collaborative team. Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide in-person and telehealth clinical counseling services to Safe Space Counseling clients as scheduled and in accordance with company policies.
· This is a hybrid position – a minimum of 2 in-person workdays (of your choice) is required per week.
· Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to each session is required.
· Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours by phone, voicemail, etc., or through theSafe Space Counseling website.
· Comply with state mandates as related to ethical practices and mandated reporting
· Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
· Timely complete written records for each client including, but not limited to, intake notes, progress notes, termination notes, and other forms or documents that may be needed or required from time to time by Safe Space Counseling or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the client within a timely fashion.
· Keep client files accurate and up to date.
· Charge and collect payments from clients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by the therapist and president.
· Attend mandatory staff meetings, supervision, and training as Safe Space Counseling directs.
· Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Safe Space Counseling.
· Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.

- Engage in marketing efforts as put forth by Safe Space Counseling, especially the first 6 months of employment
· Be comfortable in learning about and providing sex therapy services.
· Be comfortable in learning about and providing couples therapy.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Align with Safe Space Counseling’s mission, vision, and values.
· Must be punctual in reporting to work.
· Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage, and Family Therapy, or Social Work; and
possess Associate Level license from BBS (ACSW, AMFT, or APCC) in the State of California. A copy of the license must be provided to Safe Space Counseling upon hire.
· Must have completed at least 1750 clinical hours at the time of the application.
· Available to hold a caseload of 20-25 client sessions per week based on referrals and availability.
· Be available to work at least 2 weeknights and 1 weekend day for 1st year of employment.
· Have adequate and reliable internet connection for telehealth sessions.
· Abide by all Telehealth guidelines to adequately maintain HIPAA compliance.
· Be organized and detail-oriented.
· Be a team player.
· Be able to work independently on tasks assigned.
· Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
· Prior experience in a private practice setting is highly preferred.
· At least one year of experience in an outpatient counseling setting.
· Interested in advancing therapeutic skills for trauma counseling and/or sex therapy

Compensation and Benefits:
0-6 months:
o 30% of clinical earnings per pay period
o $21/hr for team meetings and mandatory trainings
6 months+:
o 40% of clinical earnings per pay period
o $24/hr for team meetings and mandatory trainings
