Evaluation Specialist (LPC)

POSITION SUMMARY The Evaluation Specialist evaluates clients admitted to Attain ABA to determine clinically appropriate treatment and the required number of treatment hours in accordance with PA IBHS regulations (client observation, written orders, and written order feedback).

  • Work hours: 10am-6pm
  • Billable expectation: 25-30 hours per week

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Work closely with the admissions department to schedule meetings and coordinate the initial intake and reevaluation processes for families seeking services.

· Review medical, psychological, and educational documentation to assess the history and severity of symptoms and behaviors of various disability conditions requiring ABA services.

· Interview families (parents and caregivers) to learn and document information about their child, including areas of concern, symptoms, and behaviors.

· Recommend hours of ABA services and other appropriate services based on the presence and severity of symptoms and behaviors (rubric).

· Diligently document collected information into a Written Order form.

· Document and maintain digital records of family meetings, client observations, parent interview, and other important information.

· Provide families and coworkers with a positive, caring, and professional attitude.

· Assist in the development of helpful resources to support the intake process and family (parent) education.

· Assist with reviews of clinical evaluations for AttainABA and Kadiant.

· Maintain confidentiality of client information.

· Collaborate with other team members and professionals as needed to ensure optimal client progress and outcomes.

· Maintain a positive, open, and objective attitude toward others.

· Meets all deadlines set by Company, regulatory agencies, and funding sources.

· Meet billable hour expectations and other KPI requirements set by Company.

· Must abide by all regulatory body and funding source requirements.

· Adhere to all policies and procedures of Attain ABA.

· Other duties within the Evaluations department as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

· Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or clinical psychology

· Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/LCSW/LPC

· PA State license as LPC

· Must adhere to and complete all requested ongoing CEUs, training, and certification renewals.

· Prior experience working as LPC required.

· Prior experience with developmentally disabled children preferred.

· Excellent clinical writing skills and attention to detail

· Strong organizational, time management, clinical, analytical, and customer service skills

· Ability to build rapport and connections with families from all backgrounds, displaying warmth, empathy, and hope

· Must excel as a team member, demonstrate flexibility, ability to mentor and improve

· Proficient in use of Microsoft Programs

· Must have stamina and alertness during the entire therapy session.

· Must be able to hear and have good vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception).

· Company laptop will be provided

· 3 references will be required
