Optometric Patient Care Coordinator
Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for greeting and checking in patients, administrative tasks and procedures that support an exceptional patient experience. Patient Care Coordinators have an immediate and direct impact on the success of Looksie Optometry through patient interactions.
This position is ideal for those who wish to pursue a career in health care. This is a fast-paced role that calls for the ability to multi-task, think on your feet and work independently.
We are looking for someone who is patient focused, empathetic, and positive. This role is critical to the entire patient experience.
*MUST BE ABLE RELIABLY COMMUTE TO OFFICE*
What you'll do:
- Provide the absolute best customer service in our practice either in person, on the phone, or via email
- Perform operational tasks like checking patients, booking appointments, dispensing orders, and assisting optician and doctor
- Use your expertise to explain patients insurance benefits and collect copays
- Communicate Looksie’s values and practice philosophy to patients
- Anything that is needed to give our patients an amazing patient experience
Who you are:
- 1+ year experience with exceptional patient experience in a medical, optometry, or dental
- 1+ year experience with medical and / or vision insurance
- Multitasker, organized and detail-oriented
- Empathetic and able to adapt your communication style to best suit your audience
- A clear, effective, and professional communicator in email, phone, or in person —you can break down technical and insurance terms for patients to easily understand
- Excited to work in a fast-paced, upbeat work environment
