The Columbus Organization is expanding our team of dedicated professionals, and we are seeking an experienced Psychologist Supervisor / Clinical Director to support a highly collaborative children’s behavioral health program in Wilmington, Delaware.
This leadership opportunity works alongside motivated clinical and milieu staff providing treatment services within both a crisis stabilization program and a 90-day residential diagnostic program focused on diagnostic clarification, treatment recommendations, and behavioral health support for youth and adolescents. This role is ideal for a psychologist who enjoys clinical leadership, supervision, interdisciplinary collaboration, and making a meaningful impact within children’s behavioral health services.
Position Summary
The Psychologist Supervisor will serve as the Clinical Director and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Children’s Department programs. This individual will provide supervision, consultation, staff support, training, and active participation within the management team while ensuring quality clinical care and program effectiveness.
Programs Supported:
- Crisis Program (Short-Term Stabilization Unit)
- 90-Day Residential Diagnostic Program
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for behavioral health programming
- Conduct psychological evaluations, assessments, and diagnostic testing
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy services
- Supervise and support clinical and multidisciplinary staff
- Participate in treatment team meetings and case consultations
- Collaborate with schools, courts, law enforcement, community agencies, and families
- Monitor program effectiveness and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards of psychology
- Complete clinical documentation, evaluations, and progress reporting
- Support crisis intervention and stabilization efforts for youth populations
Qualifications
Required:
- Doctoral Degree in Psychology
- Delaware Psychologist License or eligibility for Delaware licensure
- Minimum of two (2) years post-licensure experience working with children or adolescents
- Experience supervising clinical staff or multidisciplinary teams
Preferred:
- Experience within crisis stabilization, residential treatment, or child/adolescent behavioral health settings
- Strong leadership, consultation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Trauma-informed clinical approach
