- 16-week contract position; Contract renewal upon successful completion of the contract.

Compensation: $50.00-$52.00 an hour | Full Benefits Available

Position Summary
The Columbus Organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a day shift team in Goldsboro, NC. This position is within a specialized skilled nursing environment focused on maintaining the quality of life and dignity for adults with neurocognitive disorders and complex medical and behavioral needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a unique patient population in a structured, team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to individuals with complex medical and behavioral needs
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including identifying contraindications and side effects
- Perform routine medical procedures such as vital signs, wound care, weight checks, and specimen collection
- Observe, assess, and document patient conditions and changes
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment, adhering to infection control standards
- Respond to medical emergencies in a calm, professional, and timely manner
- Support overall patient health, safety, and quality of life
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or eligibility)
- Working knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and patient care standards
- Experience with medication administration and patient monitoring
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure or emergency situations
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or behavioral health preferred
