Overview
Helio Health is looking for a creative and resourceful Marketing Specialist to support its mission of promoting recovery from the effects of substance use and mental health disorders and other health issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, Inc., the Community Outreach Marketing Specialist will provide community outreach and awareness of Helio Health programs to coordinate agency alumni services and events; increase utilization, and diversify payer mix for program stability and quality improvement.
In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for Sign-On Incentive up to $1,500.00!
Pay Rate:$67,000 - $76,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with treatment courts, community groups, third party payers, private practice physicians and community mental health and substance use services.
- Works with the Marketing Team to create written materials regarding Helio Health services and developments for distribution throughout community and referral sources.
- Conduct program tours of agency programs and sites.
- Identifies, plans, and facilitates alumni events, community outreach and marketing activities for alumni and their families.
- Attends program meetings to educate Helio Health colleagues about Helio Health programs and services and provide outreach to potential Helio Health alumni.
- Maintain and update referral reports as directed by Chief Marketing Officer.
- Research potential referral sources.
- Attend community events related to agency mission.
- Communicate with referral sources as needed.
- Represent Helio Health at trade events, fairs, and conferences, occasionally on an overnight basis.
- Develop and update print materials for marketing Helio Health programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associates degree required, an equivalent of training and experience may be considered, Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years related experience preferred.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Resourceful and well organized.
- Ability to effectively use computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and Power Point, InDesign and WordPress.

Salary and hourly compensation ranges are provided in accordance with NYS law and are based on Helio Health's good faith belief of what is accurate at the time of posting. Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
