Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Remote, California

About the PMHNP Role

We’re a growing telepsychiatry practice serving adult patients across California. Our team is small and intentional — we hire experienced clinicians who want autonomy, a consistent schedule, and the support of a strong administrative and clinical team behind them.

This is a fully remote, 1099 independent contractor position. No on-call. No weekends unless you want them. You set your hours within a consistent schedule, and we handle the rest — credentialing, patient intake, scheduling, and admin.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments via secure telehealth platform
• Prescribe and manage medications using e-prescribing systems
• Document in our EMR/EHR and communicate with patients and staff through the platform
• Respond promptly to patient messages and clinical forms
• Provide occasional coverage during team time off (coordinated in advance)

Patient Population

All patients are California-based adults. Common presentations include:

• Mood disorders (MDD, persistent depressive disorder)
• Anxiety disorders (GAD, panic disorder, social anxiety)
• Treatment-resistant depression
• Bipolar spectrum disorders
• ADHD

What We’re Looking For

• Current California resident
• Active, unencumbered CA RN and NP licenses + DEA registration
• PMHNP board certification (ANCC)
• At least 9 months of licensed PMHNP work experience post-certification
• Comfort working independently and managing your own schedule
• Strong communication and reliability
• Must be or become a CA Nursing Corporation (required by state contracting law — we’ll guide you through the setup if needed)

Nice to Have

• Prior telepsychiatry or private practice experience
• Experience with treatment-resistant cases or complex medication regimens
• Comfortable in a structured, high-performance clinical environment
