Aircraft Maintenance Service Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Service Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for a variety of administrative and client-facing duties.

Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, the Service Coordinator will oversee maintenance, repair and service inquiries, providing timely and proactive updates for jobs in-progress.

Building and maintaining strong client relationships is essential to ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term retention. This role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering a seamless service experience.

None.

Position Description:

Customer Communication & Scheduling:

  • Answer business phone calls from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
  • Provide daily progress updates to customers with active work orders.
  • Contact previous customers due for recurrent maintenance and schedule services.

Administrative & System Management:

  • Maintain Corridor (shop ERP system) as an administrator.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed to support shop operations.

Compliance & Process Improvement:

  • Oversee maintenance scheduling to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement strategic solutions to optimize efficiency, minimize errors, and enhance the overall customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, front desk or office administration, preferably in the field of aviation
  • Familiarity with general aviation maintenance practices is preferred
  • Experience in scheduling and maintaining customer relationships is a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong time management abilities
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing business demands
  • Proficient computer skills

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or higher in Office, Business, or Aviation Administration preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to hear and communicate clearly in noisy environments, including in the maintenance shop and phone.
