Step into a meaningful role supporting students’ growth and well-being as a School Psychologist during a maternity leave assignment at a junior high school environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute your expertise in a collaborative, student-centered setting, making a real impact on the school community. Your work will involve collaborating with educators and families, providing direct counseling, conducting assessments, and supporting the academic and emotional success of adolescents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver psychological services, including individual and group counseling, to junior high students
  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for developing intervention plans
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of student IEPs and 504 plans, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and families to promote positive behavioral and emotional supports
  • Provide crisis intervention and consultation services as needed
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Master’s or Specialist’s degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Experience working within a junior high or adolescent population
  • Strong background in psychoeducational assessment, intervention development, and counseling
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents
  • Flexibility to begin with brief dates in August and September before starting the extended assignment from September 2026 through January 2027
