Are you a creative and confident music therapist ready to make an impact in a supportive, team-driven environment?
At Infinity Music Therapy Services, we’re seeking passionate clinicians who value self-care, are excited to contribute to innovative healthcare practices, and thrive in both individual and collaborative settings. If this sounds like you, we’d love to learn more about your background and explore how you can contribute to our mission.
Requirements:
Degree or Equivalency in Music Therapy
Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) or exam eligible
Licensed Music Therapist (CT)
Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation
At least 1 year of experience as a full-time music therapist (preferred)
Background in mental health and/or developmental disorders (preferred)
Experience with IEPs (or educational settings preferred)
Strong clinical writing and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
As a valued member of our clinical team, you will have the opportunity to lead individual and group music therapy sessions with a diverse range of clients, including children and adults with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, neurological disorders, and wellness needs. Your responsibilities will include creating personalized treatment plans, tracking and analyzing session data, writing detailed clinical reports, managing client schedules, and actively participating in treatment team meetings. Additionally, you may be involved in non-clinical activities, such as teaching music lessons or facilitating music enrichment groups, based on the evolving needs of our clients.
Hours:
We have part-time, full- time, and per diem roles throughout CT. In this role you will provide coverage during therapist absences, cover short term clinical assignments, and take on a growing caseload of your own. We are seeking Tuesday- Saturday for New London County and a per diem/part-time clinician for the shoreline. Your core cases will be scheduled on five (5) consecutive days - you may pick up sessions at anytime throughout the week. Sessions typically occur between 8:30 AM and 7:30 PM, with start and end times that will vary based on your caseload. Please note, your shift will not span the entire operating hours, so there’s flexibility in your daily schedule.
We value your time, which is why all work hours are paid—including client contact, travel time, session planning, data/documentation, team meetings, and other essential tasks.
Location:
Our clinic is based in Southington. You will need to intermittently travel to Southington to pick up supplies. You will report to Southington every Tuesday 9:15am-12:00pm for clinical team meetings. While telehealth services are occasionally requested, the majority of our work takes place in-person, including in schools, nursing homes, day programs, group homes, and other diverse settings. This variety provides an exciting opportunity to engage with different populations and make a meaningful impact across Connecticut.
Wages:
Starting at $25.00/hour for entry-level, board-certified clinicians
We offer higher pay rates for experienced clinicians or those with additional certifications and specialized expertise that enhance their abilities to execute their role. Staff who take on supervisory roles with students or interns, or those in administrative positions, are eligible for a rate differential. We also offer performance-based bonuses and regular pay reviews to reward hard work and dedication.
Pay is comprehensive and includes client contact, travel time, session planning, documentation, and other essential duties, ensuring that all aspects of your work are valued and compensated.
