Developmental Specialist (Board Certification Track)

This is more than a standard RBT role.

As a Developmental Specialist on our Board Certification Track, you will participate in a highly individualized mentorship and training pathway designed to support you throughout your Master’s program and BCBA certification journey.

Over the course of your training experience, you will receive:

  • 10%+ monthly supervision from experienced BCBAs
  • Individualized mentorship and ongoing feedback

Position Overview

As a Registered Behavior Technician (Developmental Specialist), you will work directly with children and families under the supervision of a BCBA to implement individualized treatment plans that support communication, independence, social development, emotional regulation, and functional life skills.

ResponsibilitiesDirect Client Support

  • Implement individualized ABA treatment plans
  • Provide engaging, compassionate 1:1 therapy sessions
  • Support skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming
  • Promote client independence and confidence

Data Collection & Documentation

  • Collect accurate behavioral and skill acquisition data
  • Maintain graphs and client progress summaries
  • Complete detailed progress notes and session documentation
  • Assist in creating session materials and stimuli

Clinical Collaboration

  • Participate in monthly team meetings
  • Assist with protocol implementation and reviews
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, families, schools, and interdisciplinary providers
  • Opportunities to support parent training sessions

Professional Growth Opportunities

  • Lead Specialist opportunities available
  • Training in indirect functional assessments
  • Exposure to programming updates under BCBA supervision
  • Participation in enrichment and aftercare programming

QualificationsRequired

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL
  • Passion for working with children and families
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Currently enrolled in or planning to pursue BCBA coursework
  • Interest in long-term growth within the ABA field
