Job Overview
Join our dynamic mental health team as a Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to diverse populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver patient-centered care through individual, group, and family counseling, utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy,. You will be responsible for conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing personalized treatment plans, and managing crisis situations with professionalism and compassion. Our goal is to empower clients on their journey toward mental wellness while ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or trauma-related issues like PTSD or grief.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts, ensuring seamless patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Document all clinical encounters accurately in medical records while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and medical terminology standards.
  • Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection initiatives to enhance treatment outcomes and contribute to best practices within behavioral health.

Skills

  • Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and trauma-focused interventions like PTSD care.
  • Strong proficiency in motivational interviewing, behavior management, crisis management, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Experience working with geriatrics, individuals with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations within behavioral health settings.
  • Familiarity with telehealth technology platforms for remote patient engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills for delivering culturally competent care in diverse environments while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases involving mental health disorders such as PTSD, gender issues counseling, chronic pain management, and substance use disorders including addiction counseling.
