Registered Behavior Technician

Autism Consulting and Therapy, LLC, one of Hampton Roads' oldest and largest Applied Behavior Analysis providers is looking for a motivated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our clinic-based team in Virginia Beach.

ACT is the perfect destination for RBTs in their coursework or who plan on starting their coursework. We have an incredible success rate of developing BCBAs and BCaBAs internally within 2-3 years.

Job Description:

A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who practices under the ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior reduction plans developed by the supervisor.

Position Type:

-Full-time; paid hourly rate ($18.00-27.00); salary options available within the first 6 months

-Working hours 7:45 am to 4:15 pm Monday-Friday

Minimum Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree preferred.

-Junior/Senior level college student will also be considered.

-Prefer 1-year experience working with individuals with ASD.

-Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or BCAT

Other Requirements:

-Successful completion of a criminal background check

-CPR/BLS Certification

-Ability to lift 35 pounds

Job Duties:

-Provide direct behavioral services to clients in individual and group settings

-Run skill acquisition programs with clients using evidence-based interventions

-Complete daily data collection and progress notes

-Work with BCBA or BCaBA to implement the individual behavior treatment plan

-Collect data using electronic data collection system

-Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
