Home Instead, a trusted leader in home care, is seeking a high-performing field sales professional to join our team as a Business Development Specialist.

We are growing rapidly and looking for a local "closer" who actually knows the Union City and Hayward areas to expand our market presence and drive new client growth!

Because we hold our team to exceptionally high standards, we are looking for a very specific professional profile. Please ensure you meet all criteria before applying:

  • You MUST permanently reside w/in 5 miles of Union City
  • You have at least 2 years of verifiable, consecutive work history w/ the SAME employer
  • You have 1+ year(s) of face-to-face sales, marketing, or business development experience within home care, senior living, or the healthcare industry (You must have a demonstrated success record of generating leads, building referral networks, and increasing client enrollments)
  • You have a highly reliable vehicle to travel throughout the Union City/Hayward territory daily, and can pass a fingerprint scan + drug screen on Day 1

Your Primary Responsibilities (Sales & Growth Focus)

  • Identify and build deep, strategic relationships w/ local influence centers (hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, rehab centers, hospice organizations, and doctor's offices) to secure consistent client lead sources
  • Personally visit and arrange sales meetings w/ medical professionals, case managers, discharge planners, and private companies looking for home care solutions
  • Conduct initial assessments w/ prospective clients and families, design custom care plans, and input data into our CRM (Salesforce/WellSky) to ensure seamless care coordination and swift enrollment
  • Attend trade shows, healthcare conferences, and local business networking events to develop additional lead sources.
  • Maintain and manage our CRM to track leads, execute a high-frequency visit schedule with key targets, and submit weekly activity logs to management

Schedule & Environment:

  • Job Type: Full-time (8-hour shifts)
  • Hours: Monday – Friday (9am – 5pm), w/ occasional evenings/weekends as needed for networking events
  • Environment: 100% In-Person Field Work (Union City/Hayward territory)
