Job Summary:

As a Mental Health Professional, you will assist patients in meeting their basic needs under nursing supervision. You are responsible for physical observations, direct patient care and collaborating while implementing care plans.

You will need to recognize and respect the patient's beliefs, culture, socio-economic status. You will provide patients support through therapeutic interpersonal skills, education and psychoeducational groups.

The implementation of care plans will be delegated by the RN and you will participate in role development activities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Must have an associate degree in Mental Health technology and/or a bachelor's degree in a related field.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Recent experience in psychiatry preferred
  • Individual, family and group therapy training and experience preferred
