A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides 1:1 applied behavior analysis services to individuals diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities. RBTs are responsible for implementing behavior-change programs as directed by and under the supervision of the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or consultant.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 18 years of age or older

· Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Credential, recognized by the BACB

o Completion of the 40-hour RBT Training

o Completion of the RBT Competency Assessment

o Successfully passed the RBT Exam

· Registered Behavior Technician credential/registration, recognized by the State of Nevada

· Valid driver’s license

· Criminal background check

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· Two (2) years of experience working with children

· Two (2) years of experience working with individuals with autism/developmental disabilities

· CPR/BLS certification

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Implements 1:1 individualized ABA services as directed by the BCBA.

2. Records data accurately and update graphs accordingly (frequency, duration, DTT, etc.)

3. Implements permanent product recording procedures.

4. Conducts preference assessments.

5. Assists with individualized and functional assessment procedures

6. Prepares for the session as required by the skill acquisition plan.

7. Uses contingencies of reinforcement

8. Implements discrete-trial teaching procedures.

9. Implements naturalistic teaching procedures (e.g., incidental teaching).

10. Implements task analyzed chaining procedures.

11. Implements discrimination training.

12. Implements stimulus control transfer procedures.

13. Implements stimulus fading procedures.

14. Implements prompt and prompt fading procedures.

15. Implements generalization and maintenance procedures.

16. Assists with the training of stakeholders (e.g., family, caregivers, other professionals).

17. Describes and identifies common functions of behavior.

18. Implements interventions based on modification of antecedents such as motivating/establishing

operations and discriminative stimuli.

19. Implements differential reinforcement procedures (e.g., DRA, DRO).

20. Implements extinction procedures.

21. Implements and follow crisis/emergency procedures, according to protocol.

22. Reports other variables that might affect the client (e.g., illness, relocation, medication) to

supervisor.

23. Generates objective session notes by describing what occurred during sessions.

24. Render all sessions in a timely manner (within 24 hours of session).

25. Effectively communicates with supervisor.

26. Complies with applicable legal, regulatory and workplace reporting requirements (e.g.,

mandatory abuse and neglect reporting).

27. Complies with applicable legal, regulatory and workplace requirements for data collection,

storage and transportation (including, but not limited to, HIPAA)

28. Responds appropriately to feedback and maintain or improve performance accordingly.

29. Communicates with stakeholders (e.g., family, caregivers, other professionals). Maintains

professional boundaries (e.g., avoid dual relationships, conflicts of interest, social media

contacts). Maintains client dignity and treats clients with respect.

30. Completes all BACB requirements and keeps RBT credentials current.

31. Meets monthly RBT supervision requirements, per the BACB.

32. Attends all staff meetings and client care conferences, as scheduled.

33. Immediately reports to BCBA/Consultant any patient incidents/variances or complaints.

34. Adheres to agency standards and consistently interprets and accurately performs all assigned

responsibilities.

35. Maintains acceptable attendance status, per agency policy.

36. Maintains appropriate appearance (e.g., neat, clean, well-groomed), per agency policy.

37. Demonstrates effective time management skills through daily documentation and infrequent

overtime for routine assignments.

38. Maintains clean and neat work environment.

39. Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking and decision making.

40. Maintains current CPR/BLS certification.

41. Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
