The School Psychologist is responsible for providing comprehensive psychological and mental health services to students across grades K–12. Operating during typical school hours, this role involves managing student referrals, assessing specific student needs, and ensuring that appropriate individualized evaluations are conducted. The position focuses on delivering actionable recommendations for intervention strategies and collaborating effectively with school staff to support student success.
Responsibilities
- Receive student referrals and accurately assess individual academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
- Ensure appropriate, individualized psychological evaluations are conducted for referred children.
- Conduct formal psychological evaluations and interpret results to identify specific learning or behavioral challenges.
- Formulate and deliver targeted recommendations regarding intervention strategies for students.
- Provide appropriate psychological and other mental health services to support the overall well-being of the student population.
- Valid Pennsylvania State Certification in School Psychology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families.
