Mental Health Provider (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)

Location: Alabama - Helena or Hoover off Valleydale Rd (Hybrid Opportunities Available)

Overview

Counseling Cottage is seeking a compassionate and motivated independently licensed LPC to join our growing mental health counseling practice. We are committed to providing a supportive, client-centered environment for individuals and families seeking healing, growth, and connection.

: At this time, Counseling Cottage cannot support clinicians who are not fully and independently licensed. Applicants without an active independent Alabama license will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling services.
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor client progress.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the EHR system.
• Collaborate with families, psychiatrists, schools, physicians, and other professionals as needed.
• Facilitate therapeutic interventions using evidence-based approaches.
• Participate in staff meetings, consultations, and treatment planning.
• Assist with discharge planning and referrals when appropriate.
• Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with Alabama licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling or a related mental health field.
• Active, unrestricted Alabama LPC license required (LPC-S preferred but not required).
• Minimum of two years post-licensure experience preferred.
• BCBS credentialing is highly preferred.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families preferred.
• Hybrid availability required for clinicians working with adolescents.
