Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing multidisciplinary mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and individualized treatment planning for patients in an outpatient setting.
The ideal candidate is confident working independently, has strong clinical judgment, and is passionate about delivering high-quality behavioral health care. Experience with interventional psychiatry treatments such as TMS, Spravato, and EEG brain mapping is highly preferred.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and collaborative practice focused on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based care and advanced treatment modalities. The position begins as part-time with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role as the practice expands.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations
* Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
* Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications while monitoring patient response and side effects
* Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs and goals
* Provide ongoing psychiatric medication management and follow-up care
* Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment options
* Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
* Support and participate in advanced treatment services including TMS, Spravato, and EEG brain mapping
* Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the EMR/EHR system
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, state guidelines, and clinical best practices
Required Qualifications
* Active and unrestricted PMHNP certification and state licensure
* Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing as a PMHNP
* Experience with psychiatric medication management required
* Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and behavioral health treatment modalities
* Excellent patient assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment
* Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
* Experience with Spravato (esketamine) treatment protocols
* Experience with EEG brain mapping
* Experience in outpatient psychiatry or integrative behavioral health settings
* Telehealth experience preferred
* Familiarity with collaborative care models and evidence-based psychiatric treatments
