Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality behavioral therapy and support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied behavior analysis and a passion for improving the lives of those they serve.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Conduct patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine the needs of clients.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and intake forms, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient care that promotes independence and enhances quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals and documenting patient interactions.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.
Qualifications
- Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst certification is required.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental disabilities, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis methodologies.
- Proficient in data collection methods relevant to patient assessment and treatment evaluation.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work compassionately and patiently with individuals who have varying levels of ability and need for support.
