Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a licensed School Psychologist to support K-12 students across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels in Rapid City, SD. This contract position offers a chance to work within a dynamic school setting, providing vital psychological services to promote student well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students grades K-12
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized educational plans
- Provide counseling, consultation, and intervention services to support student mental health
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student needs and progress
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid South Dakota license as a School Psychologist
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Flexibility in managing caseload across K-12 grade levels
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, staff, and families
- Experience working in South Dakota schools is preferred but not required
- Interns currently completing their training under supervision will be considered
