Labcorp is seeking a Genetic Counselor to join our team to support busy Maternal Fetal Medicine Practices in Southern CA. This is a hybrid position; working both onsite and remotely. The Genetic Counselor may be required to work onsite in the Greater Los Angeles and/or greater Southern California area and work remotely from home. However, this is not a 100% remote position. Candidates must be located in the Southern California area or be willing to relocate. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm Job Responsibilities: • Provide onsite genetic counseling services for MFM practices in Orange County and Los Angeles, CA • Have the opportunity to provide direct patient care for a wide variety of complex indications from an extensive referral base • Be able to engage in professional growth opportunities including writing abstracts and publications, physician education and other projects • Have access to the expertise of a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues • Enjoy benefits including a competitive compensation package, CEU educational support and reimbursement for genetic counseling certification • Participate in educational and research initiatives within Labcorp. Minimum Qualifications: • Masters degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling • American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification or Active Candidate Status for ABGC Preferred Qualifications: • 2 years or more experience as a certified Genetic Counselor • 1 year or more experience of prenatal or reproductive Genetic Counseling Additional Job Standards: • Highly organized, including excellent time management skills • Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral • Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office **Pay Range:** $95,000 - $130,000 / year All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
