Direct Support Professional / RBT or ABA Paraprofessional

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Monday - Friday . Staff must play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individual with Autism. This position focuses on enhancing the quality of life for clients by promoting independence and facilitating their daily activities. The DSP will work closely with clients to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met in a compassionate and respectful manner.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide care for an individual with autism.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals in daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation.
• Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during transitions.
• Observe and document patient behavior, progress, and any changes in condition while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Engage clients in social activities and community involvement to promote socialization and integration.
• Administer vital signs as needed and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other support staff to develop individualized care plans.
• Provide emotional and behavioral support and encouragement to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.

Skills

• Strong background in ABA or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
• Experience in direct support roles with individuals with (ASD) or special needs is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach towards caregiving.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
