Overview
This position is located within two juvenile detention facilities in San Diego. We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality mental health care to patients and contributing to their overall well-being.
Responsibilities
-Work with Health Services Administrator in the coordination of mental health care delivery system
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Provide therapy and counseling services to patients
- Manage crisis situations effectively
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay current on advancements in psychiatry and behavioral health practices
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification in Psychiatry
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Psychiatrist
- Proficiency in cognitive behavioral therapy and psychopharmacology
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient care
- Experience in crisis management and behavioral health interventions

Pay: $210.00 - $235.00 per hour
