Title - Lead – Social Worker (Middle Schools) (Internal Only) (SY26-27)


Reports to: Building Principal in collaboration with District Coordinators/Directors


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and licensed social worker with strong clinical skills and experience who also has the ability to communicate effectively with social workers, administration and community based providers and the ability to lead and facilitate meetings of content area. Applicants must hold an independent license through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (LMHC, LICSW preferred)


Program Lead Responsibilities:

In addition to school based responsibilities, the lead social worker will act as a liaison between the Coordinator of Social Work Services and grade level social workers. They will provide clinical consultation with grade level social workers, supervise new social work staff, coordinate internships/field placements when applicable, coordinate school-based services with CBO’s when applicable, participate in PLCs with Coordinator of Social Work Services and other social work leads and facilitate clinical meetings with grade level social workers including the analysis of data. Plan, facilitate, and/or participate in PLCs, faculty meetings, PD, Chelsea Professional Learning Academies and new teacher orientation as needed. Responsibilities extend beyond the regular school day/school year
