Part-Time Special Needs Teacher's Aide/RBT (1:1)
Hours: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Compensation: $17.00 – $24.00 per hour (based on experience)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide one-on-one classroom support for a student with special needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, therapeutic learning environment and is passionate about helping children build essential life and social skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to a student throughout the school day
- Carry out instructional and therapeutic plans developed by the educational and clinical team (including Teacher, PT, OT, SLP, and Music Therapist)
- Support the student in developing communication, social, and daily living skills across classroom and community settings
- Assist with implementing personalized learning and behavior plans under professional supervision
- Apply evidence-based strategies to encourage skill development and positive behaviors
- Accurately document student progress and behaviors using established tracking methods
- Maintain clear, organized session notes and assist with data recording and visualization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with children with special needs
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and approaches
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow structured plans and adapt to student needs
