QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree, and
- At least 3+ years of direct experience working with children who have serious emotional or behavioral needs, or children who have special needs, including, but not limited to, intensive medical needs, and who have specific skills to meet the needs of foster youth, including cultural and linguistic needs, OR
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field and,
- At least 2.5 years of direct experience working with children who have serious emotional or behavioral needs, or children who have special needs, including, but not limited to, intensive medical needs, and who have specific skills to meet the needs of foster youth, including cultural and linguistic needs
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Position Specific
- Facilitate supervised family visits in accordance with agency policies.
- Provide direct support and care to youth and families, including transportation, supervision, and engagement in activities to promote stability and well-being.
- Assist with youth skill-building and implementation of basic behavioral strategies.
- Provide administrative and regulatory support, including documentation, scheduling, data entry, and reporting.
- Assist with compliance tracking and follow-up to support adherence to licensing and program requirements
- Support recruitment and retention efforts, event planning, and hosting community outreach, training and engagement events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Provide enhanced behavioral support and skill-building interventions for youth and families.
- Coordinate access to community resources and structured activities for youth.
- Participate in coordinating recruitment activities and event coverage in alignment with the recruitment plan.
- Conduct home walkthroughs and provide compliance-related support to ensure ongoing monitoring and maintenance of Resource Family Approval in alignment with licensing standards and agency expectations.
- Monitor recruitment plan tracking, coordinating activities, event participation and coverage support.
- Assist in training and mentoring Permanency Support Specialist I staff, providing guidance and support in daily tasks.

Employment at the Agency is terminable at-will, which means that employment may be
terminated at any time, without cause or reason, by either the employee or the Agency. In
addition the Agency may also demote, layoff, transfer or reassign employees at any time at its
sole discretion without cause or reason.

Compensation
The posted salary band represents the full pay range for this role and reflects opportunities for compensation growth over time. The typical hiring range reflects where we reasonably expect to make offers to new hires based on relevant experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
Typical hiring range: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
Full salary band: $24.00 – $34.00 per hour
