Evolve Adolescent Behavioral Health is looking for reliable and compassionate Overnight Residential Counselors to join our teams at our 6-bed teen residential treatment centers across the San Fernando Valley.
We currently have full-time and part-time openings in Tarzana, Calabasas, Agoura Hills, and Woodland Hills.
At Evolve, we support adolescents ages 12–17 who are struggling with mental health, substance use, and behavioral challenges. Overnight Residential Counselors play a key role in providing support and supervision for teens during their 45–60 day residential treatment stay.
This role involves overnight supervision and care for up to six adolescents, with a strong focus on safety and supervision. Overnight staff are required to remain awake throughout the shift. Additional responsibilities include light housekeeping, inventory checks, documentation, and other administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Remain awake, alert, and engaged throughout the full overnight shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
- Ensure clients remain in their rooms overnight
- Conduct wellness checks on clients every 15 minutes
- Complete regular walkthroughs of the facility, including basic safety and maintenance checks
- Assist with inventory checks and administrative tasks
- Accurately document all shift activity in electronic medical records
- Support overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facility during the overnight shift
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must be able to stay awake all night; previous overnight shift experience preferred
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have at least 6-9 months of experience working with teens with mental health or substance abuse
- Have 6-9 months of experience in an adolescent group home or similar setting
- All schedules require at least 1 weekend shift
- Must be able to pass a LiveScan background check and clear federal and state criminal background checks, and child abuse indexes
- Possess a valid California driver’s license
- As an OVN you will be a critical health worker, and so could be exposed to COVID, or on occasion work with clients with COVID. Evolve follows all state and local requirements regarding PPE and has strict guidelines for a safe work environment
