We are seeking a Clinical Supervisor (Behavioral Health) to join a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing high-quality, culturally responsive mental health services to individuals and families.
About the Role
As a key member of the leadership team, the Clinical Supervisor will guide clinical operations, staff development, and service delivery excellence. This role focuses on expanding innovative care models, supporting clinicians through supervision, and ensuring individuals receive timely, effective, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance evidence-based treatment services and emerging care models
- Ensure timely access to care through efficient intake, assignment, and discharge processes
- Monitor scheduling, engagement rates, and service utilization to improve client access
- Provide direct clinical services when needed, including assessments and crisis support
- Supervise crisis response efforts and support high-acuity cases
- Identify service gaps and implement solutions to better meet community needs
- Lead and support quality improvement initiatives
- Conduct chart reviews and participate in utilization management activities
- Monitor incidents and ensure appropriate follow-up and documentation
- Integrate treatment approaches that support recovery, rehabilitation, and overall functioning
- Provide individual and group supervision to licensed clinicians
- Support professional growth through coaching, training, and feedback
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and coverage for program needs
- Foster a collaborative, supportive team culture
- Help oversee daily program operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations
- Utilize electronic systems to track performance, billing, and program metrics
- Facilitate team meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Contribute to program planning and operational improvements
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Active New York State license (LCSW, LMHC, or LCAT)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience working with adults with mental health needs
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Strong experience in individual, group, and family therapy
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in behavioral health
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
