Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate treatment plan for clients
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients with substance abuse issues
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals
- Monitor and track client progress throughout the treatment process
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress
Experience:
- Minimum of [1] years of experience in substance abuse counseling or related field
- Proficient in data collection and analysis related to client outcomes
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices
- Experience in clinical counseling and behavioral therapy techniques
- Familiarity with research methods in the field of substance abuse treatment
- Ability to provide mental health counseling in addition to substance abuse counseling
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies for individuals with substance abuse issues
- Experience in providing patient care in a compassionate and supportive manner
Requirements:
- Valid certification or license as a Substance Abuse Counselor (e.g., CADC, LADC)
- Strong understanding of addiction and its impact on individuals and families
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
