Position Overview

If you have an interest in working with and helping children, aged 2-6, with intellectual disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, then this is the job for you! This is a full-time or part-time , on-site, center-based role. This is an hourly position working one-on-one with young children diagnosed with ASD in a supportive center based setting . You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day teaching and implementation of client’s goals based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior. Under the supervision and guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will be trained on teaching life skills, communication, as well as behavior reduction using compassionate care and data-driven interventions.

Pay Rate: 20-23/hr

Based on qualifications, experience, and certifications.

Benefits are available to full-time (30 hours direct) employees.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct 1:1 instruction with children while following a treatment plan coordinated by a supervising  BCBA but also have fun with them! Get silly!
  • Utilize naturalistic teaching, direct instruction, and encourage communication and play. We utilize play so much throughout the day!
  • Take data throughout the session with our data collection application.
  • Collecting data is one of the most important parts of this job. We want to be able to see the progress our clients are making towards their treatment goals. By collecting data as you implement the BCBA-designed programs, BTs / RBTs provide the team with the insights needed to track client progress and validate the effectiveness of the current treatment plan. Almost forgot, an iPad is provided to you for this.
  • Write objective and quantitative session notes at the end of each session.
  • Participate in monthly clinical reviews to analyze client progress with a BCBA and other technicians.
