LearnWell is a leading behavioral healthcare services organization dedicated to supporting school-aged children and their families. Through strong partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations, we help ensure students have access to the behavioral health support they need to succeed.
We are seeking a driven Clinical Outreach Partner to join our business development team and expand awareness and utilization of LearnWell’s continuum of care across the Greater New York City market. This is a highly visible, relationship-driven role responsible for building strong referral partnerships and identifying new growth opportunities.
Role Overview
The Clinical Outreach Partner is responsible for developing and managing relationships with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations. This role requires a proactive, “hunter” mentality to open new doors while also nurturing existing partnerships to drive sustained referral growth.
Success in this position requires strong communication skills, persistence, and the ability to work independently while managing a high level of outreach activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop referral relationships with schools, clinicians, hospitals, and community partners
- Conduct in-person visits and drop-ins to maintain visibility within assigned territories
- Represent LearnWell at community events, meetings, and professional gatherings
- Communicate LearnWell’s services and continuum of care to referral partners
- Track outreach activities and relationship development in CRM systems
- Collaborate with the business development team on strategic outreach planning and market growth
Activity & Productivity Expectations
- Minimum 20 in-person meetings or drop-in visits weekly (Queens territory focus)
- 150 outreach activities weekly (emails and phone calls)
- Participation in at least 4 community events per month
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Sales, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred)
- Master’s degree preferred but not required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, referral development, healthcare outreach, or relationship-based sales
- Experience working with healthcare providers, physicians, schools, or behavioral health organizations preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized self-starter with a strong drive to meet goals
- Ability to travel locally up to 60% of the time
Compensation & Benefits
- $65,000 base salary
- $6,500 performance bonus (Management by Objective)
- On-target earnings: $71,500
- 15 personal days plus full benefits package
- Flexible work-from-home structure when not conducting in-person meetings
