Guidewire, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Residential Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential programs. This is a full time (40 hour) exempt position in Springfield, MA. What You'll Do:

As a Residential Program Manager, you will be at the heart of ensuring our programs run smoothly and effectively, while also leading and developing a strong, engaged team.

Program Support:

  • Oversee Daily Operations: Directly supervise, evaluate, and monitor every aspect of the residential program, ensuring its success.
  • Handle Emergencies: Respond swiftly to emergencies, acting as the primary leader during critical moments.
  • Ensure Goals Are Met: Take responsibility for making sure individual service goals (ISP/IAP/IEP) for those we support are achieved.
  • Manage Shifts: Ensure all shifts are covered according to the site profile, ensuring no gaps in support.
  • Be On-Call: Participate in a 24-hour on-call phone rotation, offering guidance during urgent situations.

Staff Development and Supervision:

  • Lead by Example: Supervise and mentor staff while reinforcing Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) and agency values.
  • Recruit and Develop Talent: Interview, hire, and ensure new staff are thoroughly oriented, trained, and integrated into our culture.
  • Build Schedules: Create and oversee daily/weekly staff schedules and responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide Feedback: Regularly evaluate staff performance, offering constructive feedback, and recognizing great work based on data collection.
  • Evaluate and Grow Your Team: Complete performance evaluations on time and approve staff hours via ADP.

Operational Support:

  • Keep Things Running Smoothly: Ensure that the program maintains a preventative maintenance approach, including regular upkeep of agency vehicles and program spaces.
  • Safety First: Promote the health and safety of residents by maintaining a clean, safe environment that complies with all health and safety regulations.
  • Report Maintenance Needs: Work closely with the Facilities Director to ensure timely maintenance and repairs for both program sites and vehicles.

Administrative Duties:

  • Data Management: Ensure all PBS data is accurate, timely, and complete for review and use.
  • Compliance: Ensure all agency, DDS, DMH, DCF, MRC, and MAP standards are met consistently, with no exceptions.
  • Financial Accountability: Oversee program and individual finances, ensuring everything is properly accounted for and managed within budgetary parameters, including controlling overtime.
  • Policies and Procedures: Stay updated on and enforce all agency policies and procedures to ensure the program operates at its best.

Qualifications You’ll Bring:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years’ management experience in human services or a related field (preferred).
  • Passion for PBS: Willingness to learn and apply Positive Behavioral Supports to help us meet our program goals.
  • Residential Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities in residential settings (preferred).
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively manage staff and operations.
  • Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Professionalism & Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Non-Profit Experience: Experience working for a non-profit organization is a plus!

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets agency insurability and policy requirements 
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Ability to successfully pass CORI and fingerprint-based background checks 

Salary range: $50,349 – $54,020 annually, based on experience and qualifications
