We are seeking a proactive, organized Weekend Special Needs Nanny with BT/RBT or Developmental Intervention experience to support our preschool-aged child in a long-term role.
This position is ideal for a Behavioral Technician (BT), Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) or developmental professional (DIR) seeking consistent hours in a role where you’d be actively supporting our child in everyday community settings, including nearby activities, outings, and transitions outside the home.
Schedule:
Saturdays and/or Sundays, 10:00am–2:00pm. Optional additional hours available.
Pay & Benefits:
$35–40/hour DOE, W-2 position, paid sick time, mileage reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
- Drive to community outings and activities (ex: art class, park, gym class, swim class)
- Provide 1:1 support during community outings and activities, focus on safety & proactively managing sensory overwhelm
- Reinforce therapy strategies and support structured routines
- Proactively manage transitions and maintain clear safety boundaries
- Provide play-based, developmentally appropriate engagement
- Maintain strong awareness in public settings
- Lead care independently while parents work from home
- Complete light child-related tasks and occasional small family support tasks as time permits
Qualifications:
- BT/RBT/OTA or developmental experience required
- Strong executive functioning and ability to manage schedules independently
- Naturally stays one step ahead during transitions
- Comfortable confidently leading care in a collaborative home environment
- Reliable vehicle with valid California driver’s license and active California auto insurance
- Current CPR certification
- College degree preferred
