A Road Through Therapy Group

  • Please respond with your resume and a NON AI WRITTEN cover letter on why you believe you are a good fit for the practice.

A Road Through, a modern psychotherapy practice in Sherman Oaks, is seeking a motivated registered Associate Therapist (AMFT, APCC, or ACSW) to join our growing team.

We’re seeking a motivated associate to join our growing, collaborative practice in our beautifully designed Sherman Oaks office. Our space reflects the heart of ART—warm, modern, and intentionally created to support both clinicians and clients. Prior private practice experience is helpful, though not required.

This is a great opportunity for clinicians ready to grow within a private-pay practice that values creativity, authenticity, and community. We offer sick pay, weekly supervision, and the opportunity to be part of a thoughtfully curated team of therapists.

We are looking for a highly motivated clinician who is not afraid to put themselves out there and do the work required to build and maintain a strong caseload.

About Our Practice

A Road Through specializes in working with women, BIPOC individuals and couples, as well as creatives and professionals in the arts. Our approach is modern, relational, and grounded in trauma-informed care. We are a culturally responsive, LGBTQIA+ allied, and social justice-oriented practice committed to creating an inclusive and affirming space for all.

The ideal candidate is experienced, self-motivated, and looking for a long-term professional home where they can continue to expand their caseload while being part of a warm, values-aligned team.

What We Offer

  • A beautiful new office in Sherman Oaks with thoughtfully designed therapy rooms
  • Sick pay
  • Weekly supervision and mentorship from experienced licensed clinician
  • Supportive referrals and networking opportunities
  • A hybrid work model with flexibility in scheduling
  • Opportunities for growth within a collaborative practice
  • EMDR/Brainspotting Consultation

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered AMFT, APCC, or ACSW in good standing with the California BBS
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours toward licensure
  • Passion for working with women, BIPOC, creatives, and first-generation individuals
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Honesty, integrity and transparency in communication
  • Self-starter with experience in marketing and networking
  • Familiarity with attachment-based and psychodynamic approaches
  • Trained in (or interest in) EMDR or Brainspotting a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy to individuals and couples (hybrid: remote and in-office)
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes
  • Participate in supervision and occasional team meetings
  • Conduct consultation calls with prospective clients in timely manner
  • Engage in networking and community-building efforts
  • Uphold ethical, legal, and professional standards in clinical practice

Schedule & Location

  • Part-time choose your own hours (minimum caseload of 10–15 clients/week)
  • One half day in person is required
  • One evening availability required
  • Hybrid work model — remote and in-person at our Sherman Oaks office

This position is a part-time position. You will be given clients from ART monthly, but it is also your responsibility to network and market yourself to bring clients into the practice.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 – $100.00 per hour
